The Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) released a final rule on July 21 that will require certain employers in designated high-hazard industries to electronically submit injury and illness information. The new rule, which goes into effect on January 1, 2024, will impact workplaces with 100 or more employees in certain high-hazard industries, including residential intellectual and developmental disability, mental health, and substance abuse facilities.
