January Statewide Positive Practices & Approaches Meeting

On January 13, 2021, ODP and OMHSAS will be hosting the state-wide positive approaches and practices meeting. There will be two sessions available:

  • Going Home with Families: An Interagency Approach – A Department of Human Services initiative to move children with medical complexities from facilities back into the community with families. Will review the collaborative approach used by multiple state offices to remove barriers and positively impact family living. 
  • Development of an Integrated, Jointly Funded Intellectual Disability/Autism (ID/A) and Behavioral Health Residential Program: How One Team Did It – How a specialized community program was developed for a young man living in a psychiatric hospital through multi-system collaboration, the challenges and obstacles that were met, and the team’s recommendations for how it can be done by others.
